No, the Founding Fathers Didn't Say That
The idea that there are a group of Founding Fathers who got together and created America is absurd, and way to simple. Early Americans were a complex group of people from 13 states, spanning a coastline, who did not agree on many matters. This podcast takes a look at the myriad ways Founders disagreed and also that the concept of a small group of Founders doesn't match up with the nation's founding.

Big Government Founders and Small Government Founders
There were indeed a group of influential early Americans who wanted a small government. But they were not the entire group that could be called 'Founders' there were also some Big Government Founders most notably Hamilton and Washington. The two sides are still battling in today's politics.

Between convention members, newspaper letter-writers, early presidents and justices, ratifying conventioneers, there are so many people who had an impact on how the American Constitution is today. A look at the many, many men who can be considered 'Founders' and an overview of the most important act of founding - the Constitutional Convention of 1787.
